What is trying to be born?

Vision and movement for civilisational renewal
1 · Title. Paper column with the talk title in Polyamine, speakers below, the logo on its disc. A photograph torn in on the right, swallows over it. .slide--title
Part one

2 · Section. A chapter break: one or two words of Polyamine on sunlight, with one woodcut. .slide--section.slide--sun
The moment

One crisis, not many

  • Ecological, political, social and spiritual crises share one root.
  • An old civilisation is slowly dying. The new one is not yet born.
  • Meaning is thin, and no story is yet coherent enough to guide us.
  • As in every great turning, the crisis carries a seed.

3 · Content. A heading and up to five short points with ink square markers, Bricolage light at 44px. Swap the list for .slide__lead to hold a short paragraph instead. .slide--content

Like doulas, we witness the last breath of a dying past and the first breath of a future being born.

4 · Quote. Past ten words, display text moves to Restora. A single red seed marks it: the one place red appears as a graphic. .slide--quote.slide--paper

A fire among the rubble of an old house, at dusk.

5 · Image. A full-bleed photograph; the caption sits on a torn white strip, numbered as a plate. No slide foot, so the picture has the room. .slide--image

The practice

6 · Section on night. The same section slide on the night ground, with the swallow seal. One night slide per section at most; use it where the talk goes deep. .slide--section.slide--night
The practice

Practising together

We don’t have the answers. We’re working them out together: on calls, in small gardens, at supper tables.
