A paper, page by page

Pages from Wisdom and Wanting What’s Good (Seeds of Renaissance White Paper No. 6), the first paper built in the system: one A4 PDF, made for reading on screen, typeset with Typst in pdf-report-publishing. Copy these.

Front matter

Front cover. Wisdom’s cover is bespoke, built from its art. A paper without its own art gets the plain typographic cover.
Title page. Series line, title, subtitle, part line, authors and the Life Itself credit in text. No logo, no art.
Imprint. Small print at the foot, the rest left empty: the series, edition and version, credits, licence, how to cite.
Annotated contents. Each section with a one-line summary, linked to its page. No running head.

The text

Chapter opening. Number and title in Polyamine, the rest of the title in Restora italic, a woodcut, the epigraph, then the first section and its summary box. Folio at the foot only.
Body with a figure. Running head across the text column; sections in Restora, sub-sections a size down. The figure sits bare at the text’s left edge, its number and caption below. Footnotes at the foot.
Body with quotations. Displayed quotes in Restora italic, the source in Apfel. Paragraphs spaced, not indented. Links and note marks in red.
Summary box. “In brief” at the top of a section, drawn with a fine muted rule so it reads as an aside.

Back cover

Back cover. The one night: a hook line, what the paper argues, the inverted mark with the wordmark, the colophon and the Life Itself Sensemaking Studio logo.
